Resumen

El estado estacionario y con simetría axial de la atmósfera se calcula usando un modelo cuasi geostrófico .de dos niveles. La función de calentamiento determinada por Fuenzalida (1973) ha sido usada y la circulación calculada de esta manera se compara con cálculos similares basados en varias parametrizaciones del calentamiento. Se presentan análisis detallados usando calentamiento newtoniano con consideraciones radiactivas únicamente e incorporando otros procesos físicos.
