Resumen

Son raras las oportunidades para estudiar la estructura del viento en la capa de frontera superficial de un huracán y una de ellas fue dada por el Huracán Donna, que pasó sobre Long Island, Nueva York, el 12 de Septiembre de 1960 en la cercanía de la torre meteorológica de 420-pies del Laboratorio Nacional de Brookhaven (LNB) (Singer, Nagle y Brown, 1961).
