Un modelo gravimétrico litosférico para la Subcuenca Lomas de Olmedo (Cuenca del Norte y Noroeste) en la provincia de Salta - Argentina
Main Article Content
Abstract
The gravimetrical effects originated by: a) the sedimentary filling and b) the Andean "root", in a section that goes through the Lomas de Olmedo Sub-basin, were calculated. A residual positive sharp gravimetrical result was obtained after having corrected the observed Bouguer anomaly by both effects. We present here a gravimetrical lithospheric model with an attenuated crust which is coherent with the accepted tectonic origin and extensional style of the sub-basin. Therefore, the residual gravimetrical result was justified by means of both, the upwelling asthenospherical materials up to the crustal level and the basic rock into the lower term of the sedimentary pack of the sub-basin.
