Abstract
This book is volume no. 1 of a new series entitled "Reviews in Economic Geology" (Executive Editor: J. M. Robertson), published by the "Society of Economic Geologists", and printed by "BookCrafters, Inc." (E.U.A.). The creation of this new series (based on courses taught on certain topics by the Society of Economic Geologists) is a very good contribution to the geoscientific literature.
