Abstract
Using images of circumpolar meteorological Satellites, radiosonde data and The Cuban network.of surface meteorological stations, an analisis is made of the characteristics and evolution of the cloud of volcanic ash originated during the eruptions of the Mexican volean o El Chichón (1 7. 3 ºN, 93.2°W) and its travelling and arrival over Cuba, the velocity of propagation and shifting is determined.
