Abstract

The results of 12 vertical electrical soundings with an electrode separation AB = 1.6 km, are interpreted with direct an inverse models permiting the definition of a partially confined unit and the existence of two separate bodies of groundwater, one highly mineralized and the other of very good quality in apparent discordance as the mineralized water overlies the fresh water. The geoe!ectrical modeling is based on electric logs from local wells and on the piezometric evolution in the zone. No stratigraphic logs were available for the interpretation.
