Las correcciones estructural y tectónica en el tratamiento de los datos magnéticos
Main Article Content
Abstract
Limitations of conventional "fold test" are analyzed, pointing out thcir failure when working with conical folds. A procedure is developed for the case of a cylindrical fold with plunging axis, which was not taken into account by the fold test. General properties of conical surfaces are analyzed and techniques to use in the case of folds with horizontal or plunging cone axes are developed. A technique to be applied to the case of a collection of samples from a rotated block associated with a tilted fault is also presented. "Structural" and "Tectonic" corrections are differenciated. Stereographic diagrams helping in the identification of geomctrical characteristics of folds are presented.
