Abstract

The aquifer system of the sub-basin of Chalco in the south of the Basin of Mexico presents a hydrodynamical behavior controlled by the geological frame and the recharge regime. The proposed geometry of the aquitard is based on the reinterpretation of 100 Vertical Electrical Soundings VES's with electrodical distances AB = 1. 2, 1.6 and 2.0 km. The aquitard is a leacky aquifer overlying the aquifer in exploitation at presento The maximum distribution is explained in terms of a geological process like the lacustrine sedimentation.
