Abstract
The metamorphic sequence of Tierra Caliente is discussed with respect to petrographic, geochemical, crystallochemical and fluid inclusion data. These rocks originated from iIIite clay sediments and show a mature sedimentation. Their transformation tobiotite and muscovite suggests an epizonal metamorphism. This is confirmed by the crystallochemical and fluid inclusion data. The temperature ranges from 300° to 470°C and the pressures range from 2.5 to 4 Kbar; the composition of the carbonic fluid inclusions suggcsts that they originated from dispersed organic material in the clay fraction.
