Aditivos poliméricos para fluidos de perforación de pozos geotérmicos
Main Article Content
Abstract
A review of polymeric materials developed and applied to drilling fluids for geothermal wells, as well as the results obtained on examination of four drilling fluid systems prepared with different polymeric additives, is presented. Polymer selection and evaluation must consider thermal stability at high temperatures, tolerance to electrolyte contamination and excessive content of drill cuttings. Drilling fluids stabilized with copolymers derived from maleic anhydride showed high temperature stability for exposure times up to 96 hours and resistance to high clay material contamination.
