Abstract
A series of earthquakes that greatly affected the port of Acapulco and other cities of the State of Guerrero began in the month of May 1962. The first earthquake came on May 11 with a shock of great intensity, followed by others of lesser important. The second important earhtquake was recorded on the 19th of the same month also followed by others less strong.
