Abstract

Tide data from six scattered Pacific Island, most of which here·tofore had unknown tidal characteristics, are examined. The bar·monic constants obtaincd for the constitutents M2, S2, K1 and O1 were compared with published cotidal cbarts. The agreement was generally good, the largest discrepancies ocurring in the Tuamotu Islands and Tubuai Islands, where the amplitudes are smallest.
