On formation and intensification of tropical cyclones by deep cumulus convection.
Main Article Content
Abstract
It is well established that the main energy source for the development of tropical cyclones is the release of latent heat of condensation. Broadly speaking, latent heat can be released through two entirely different mechanisms, namely (i) by mean vertical motion, and (ii) by small scale, deep cumulus convection.
