Abstract

We study the precipitation records from La Plata (Province of Buenos Aires, Argentina) during 1909-1999 in order to determine the distribution of rainfall and its relationship with the geomagnetic aa index. We attempt to explain the maxima and minima by the geomagnetic field variations. We suggest an interaction between both phe- nomena.
