Diaclasas y tectónica de la región del Caribe
Main Article Content
Abstract
Joint measurements in the Caribbean region indicate that these fit well into a tectonic stress system whose principal axes are oriented horizontally, with a general direction of N 70°E. In the intraplate region of Bermuda, this orientation defines extension, whereas at the plate margin near Barbados, compression. On Guadalupe, on the Basse-Terre part, the origin of the existing stress relations is not yet completely understood.
