Main Article Content
Abstract
A principal components analysis for stratigraphic correlation of Babícora Lake, northwestem Chihuahua, Mexico is presented. The finite population is represented by 99 elements, which corresponds to samplcs of eight profiles. The variables were: creep, saltation, and suspension, reprcscnted by two main axes. Thc suspension variable roughly correlates with arcas of small sedimentation basins. The creep variable correlates with fluvial deposits: flood plains, alluvial fans and old channels. Saltation is associated either with suspension or crecp. The correlation is based on a mixture of the three variables.
