This document was put together by a first-rate team of scientists, heavily weighted toward USA and USSR. The first section is a brief general technical management discussion of the problems and opportunities of ground-water modeling. Although some mathematics is used to explain certain points, it is not necessary to have a strong mathematical background in order to appreciate and learn from this document. The section is clearly presented by authors who are very much aware of their field.
