Abstract

The relationship between volcanic events and large earthquakes is analyzed in the Colima area of Mexico. Toe pattems between these parameters are in agreement with those reported by Carr (1977) in a study of similar areas. Two possible relations are found between these parameters, one of them is similar to the one reported by Acharya (1982) for other seismovolcanic areas.
