Abstract

It is presented an analysis of the wind field at the Gulf of Mexico and the Campeche Bank due to cold fronts ("nortes"), trade winds and southers together with the induced wave seas for different year’s epochs. Finally, on the basis of the results here reported, we propose a division of the region in zones and subzones.
