Valoración estadística de diferentes medidas de hmF2 en Cuba
Main Article Content
Abstract
By means of linear regression, an empirical expression was derived to estimate the height of the F region peak (lunF2) which, among other 7 measures calculated, offers the best adjustment with the N(h) profiles data obtained in Havana. Statistical analysis of the ionospheric information routinely scaled from bottomside ionograms suggests that the models of Eyfrig and IRI provide adequate estimates, while the models of Booker-Seaton and Shimazaki show significant differences with the experimental data. The use of Eyfrig and IRI models for ionospheric prediction in Cuba is proposed.
