Tomografía sísmica en el área de Cazones, Veracruz (México)
Main Article Content
Abstract
This paper reports an application of one of the numerical techniques of seismic tomography to reconstruct the seismic wave velocity distribution in the sub-surface. This study was conducted in the area of Cazones, Veracruz State (Mexico), to determine the suitability of the area for siting a power plant. The Simultaneous Iterative Reconstruction Technique (SIRT) was used. Results obtained correlate very well with geologic and geophysical well logging information.
