Resumen

Geográficamente se concentran con preferencia en las latitudes medias las ciento y tantas estaciones de mareas terrestres del mundo. En el cinturón ecuatorial existen tal vez menos de una docena, que es en donde ocurren las mayores marcas terrestres. Puesto que esta área descuidada es tan importante, aprovecho esta oportunidad para tratar mareas terrestres ante mis oyentes, muchos de los cuales son ciudadanos de países situados en el cinturón por explorarse.
