Geofísica Internacional is a peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal published quarterly by the Institute of Geophysics of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), under the auspices of the Mexican Geophysical Union. Since its establishment in 1961, its mission has been to disseminate original, high-quality scientific research of international relevance related to the Earth, its processes, and its environment.
The journal's primary objective is to publish original research articles focused on the study of the Earth and its environment, with particular emphasis on topics related to Latin America, while welcoming contributions from all regions of the world. Its scope encompasses a broad range of geoscience disciplines, particularly geophysics, and includes related fields such as geology, geochemistry, energy studies, and other areas within the Earth sciences.
Geofísica Internacional is an Open Access journal that follows a rigorous peer-review process. It accepts manuscripts in both Spanish and English and does not charge authors any submission, processing, or publication fees (no APCs).
